Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest ( Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou ) or for brief Arifureta is an immensely popular light novel series (originally it had been an online novel). On the surface, it's sort of a typical Isekai Harem with a generic mc. But this particular series has been praised for having the most character who actually went through tons to realize his powers. Hajime Nagumo, a 17-year-old otaku gets transported into another world along side his classmates where they're tasked with saving Humanity. While the entire class receives some impressive offensive and supportive abilities, Hajime is left with a Transmutation ability that lacks any real direct offense. Hajime is laughed at and belittled by a number of his classmates thanks to this seemingly useless ability.
During an expedition, Hajime is betrayed by one among his classmates and is thrown deep into an abyss. Hajime surprisingly survives the autumn and is faced with a literal hellish nightmare.
